ACCUMULATION BALL

2010-2026

FOOD PACKAGE STICKERS

Format: 20 kg Physical Sculpture and Time-Lapse Photography Archive

As a physical manifestation of the written food biography, this 20-kilogram sculpture is composed entirely of food labels, shopping tags, and packaging stickers collected over decades. Every layer represents real items consumed and accumulated, transforming ephemeral daily waste into a dense, heavy monument of passing time.

The ritual of the sculpture's growth is strictly documented: a photograph is taken each time a layer is completed, charting its evolution from a single sticker into a massive, physical record of human consumption. Unlike immaterial concepts that ask the viewer to imagine a void, The Accumulation Ball offers an undeniable, unyielding counterweight. It is a physical anchor for 50 years of human survival. Every gram of its 20-kilogram mass is a concentrated cell of real time, real decisions, and real energy—a tangible monument to the sheer volume of material required to sustain a single human life.
