WHAT I ATE IN 50+ YEARS: A LIVING FOOD BIOGRAPHY

WHAT I ATE IN 50+ YEARS: A LIVING FOOD BIOGRAPHY
Ongoing Physical Archive, Video Installation, and Animated Statistics (1975-Present )
The Food Diary is a monumental, multi-decade conceptual archive documenting every single meal, ingredient, and drink consumed by the artist since 1975. By translating this lifelong metric into dynamic data visualizations and pairing the food volume with his own physical stature, Hoepflinger presents a profound, witty, and clinical meditation on consumption, identity, and the relentless passage of time.
What began as an intimate daily ritual has evolved into an unprecedented sociological data set—proving that what we consume ultimately shapes the architecture of who we are.
